I’m not normally one to jump onto bandwagons (unless it’s froyo), but when I found out Sprinkles Cupcakes was coming to Atlanta I knew I had to check it out! Sprinkles Cupcakes opened up last Friday at Lenox Square Mall. It is conveniently located near the mall entrance which makes it easy to access from inside and outside the mall.
Instead of fighting the opening day crowd, I opted to try out these delicious cupcakes on Saturday morning. Cupcakes count as brunch right? The staff at Sprinkles was very friendly and eager to explain the cupcake selection process. The cupcakes are on a rotation and only certain cupcakes are offered each day of the week. The menu can be found here– so plan your trip accordingly if there is a flavor you’d like to try out. I chose the classic Red Velvet cupcake and I was not disappointed. The cupcakes are beautiful and nicely packaged, as you can see below, and the cupcake was light and moist. The best trait about the Red Velvet cupcakes is that you also have the option to order them gluten free or vegan. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to learn that Red Velvet is the only flavor at the moment that is vegan or gluten free.
My favorite feature at Sprinkles Cupcakes is their Cupcake ATM machine. The Cupcake ATM is located outside the mall. The idea of not having to walk into Lenox Mall to fight crowds for a delicious treat is extremely appealing.
The Cupcake ATM sings a catchy “I Love Sprinkles” song on repeat as you pick your savory cupcake out. The video on the ATM allows you to watch your cupcake being picked and travel through the machine until it is delivered to you. I also really enjoyed that all the flavors, including cupcakes for your dog, are available on the ATM. I will definitely be visiting the Cupcake ATM and trying more flavors soon!
