Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! It is finally feeling like spring again here in Atlanta. Hopefully this beautiful warm weather will stay. #WeareovertherainandcoldFriday Favorites 5/2/14

1. For the past year, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect leather jacket. But, I’ve been hesitant to pull the trigger because I wasn’t sure I could pull off the look. I was recently perusing the Topshop section of Nordstrom, and found this faux version for a small fraction of the cost of the real one I had my eye on. I’m taking a trip to NYC this weekend where it’s still a little cool. It will be the perfect opportunity to see if I’m cool enough to pull of the look… – LC

2. Stacy’s Snappy Suppers are great to bring to friends and family for dinner because you can eat them that night or keep frozen for a later date. They are my go to for new parents gift baskets.  I buy mine at Piece of Cake on Roswell Rd. – Kathryn Ruth

3. One of my favorite spring/summer pieces is this pullover from vineyard vines. It’s so soft, and I love the lightweight material. I have worn mine around the house, out to a casual lunch and on boats. I highly recommend picking up this piece before it sells out! – Mallory Anne

4. You already know that we love to cook, and I have found the ultimate tool in the kitchen.  The oxo cookbook holder is an awesome addition to my counter top.  It is perfect for our favorite recipes like Black Bean and Quinoa Enchilada Bake and Pulled Pork Tacos. – Frances Ellison

5. A chambray shirt is a perfect addition to any spring wardrobe. I love this one from Jcrew. Can be paired with pants, shorts, a patterned skirt or just about anything! – Emily Lani

6. I am so thankful to have some many wonderful friends (who also happen to give really awesome presents)! My college roomie/bestie/co-blogger, LC , knows me so well and understands my obsession with Scalamandre. She gifted me the Scalamandre Haute Book for my birthday. Since becoming a home owner, I have been trying to add some #classyzebra into my humble abode, but my hubs doesn’t quite understand my need/obsession. LC and I have even talked about going in on wallpaper together for one small room (I would overall my downstairs powder room with one of these designs) in our homes, since there is a minimum order. As a United States History teacher, I feel it is my duty to incorporate prints/textiles used in the White House (this is my newest position statement with my husband). Currently, George Washington, my soon to be five year old Cairn Terrier, is wishing for a Scalamandre dog bed for his upcoming June birthday. For the time being, I am thankful I have an awesome coffee table book, while I wait for my husband to fall in love with Scalamandre. – Aubrey Lee
