Tonight I took dinner to a friend who just had a baby. Over the past couple years I’ve come to appreciate that Atlanta has several great places to pick up tasty casseroles or pre-made meals that just need to be warmed in the oven. Below are my favorites:

Casseroles Atlanta

Casseroles Atlanta is located in Virginia Highlands behind Rosebuds this quaint shop has a wide variety of pre-made meals ranging from Eggplant Parmesan to Shrimp and Grits to Chicken Tikka Masala. You can also grab mixed green salads and yummy desserts like whoopie pies.

Storico Fresco

This Italian shop in Buckhead has delicious pre-made lasagna and pasta dishes. They pride themselves on being authentically Italian and use locally sourced, farm-fresh ingredients and hand make all their pasta. This is definitely a decadent treat!

Mom’s Table
This shop in Roswell offers hearty homecooked meals to go. They have tasty squash casserole and banana pudding.

Whole Foods
Whole Foods has multiple Meal Packages that include an entree (Chile-Lime Burritos, Vegetable Primervera Pasta or Meatloaf with Mac & Cheese). It also comes with a large mixed green salad with balsamic. The portion is enough to serve 3-4 people and is only $15.99 for entree and salad. The meals just need to be warmed in the oven for 20 minutes. Whole Foods is open late and all week so they are the easiest place to get a pre-made meal if you weren’t able to get to one of the other shops during their business hours.
