This past Friday morning, the members of Supper Club of the South packed up Kathryn’s car and headed south to Rosemary for Emily’s nuptials. The five of us had never been to Rosemary and were super pumped to lay out, enjoy girl time and eat at various restaurants.
We started our trip with lunch at Cowgirl Kitchen.
We all ordered tacos and were super impressed. Les, Mal and I ordered shrimp tacos and Kathryn and Ellison ordered pork.
We decided to do a progressive dinner in order to hit the various restaurants in the area.
Our first stop was George’s and the food was fabulous. I had the scallops, three of the girls had the short ribs and various salads and Ellison had the lamb.
After our main course, we headed to La Crema for a variety of chocolate desserts. We enjoyed the chocolate mousse, dark and milk chocolate fondue and chocolate chip cookies.
Lastly, we headed to The Pearl to end the evening. Emily had all of her guest meet up for drinks to send her celebrating for her wedding day.
Saturday (Emily’s Wedding Day!):
We woke up early and headed to Charlie’s Donut Truck for a breakfast appetizer. Sadly, they did not have gluten free donuts. The other girls were obsessed with their selections and the low prices.
We stopped by the local Publix to pick up water, cheese (lots of cheese), crackers, fruit and popcorn to snack on throughout the day in order to allow us more time on the beach.
Next, we headed to Summer Kitchen. I enjoyed an omelet, while the other girls enjoyed breakfast wraps. LC has already stated she will be copying this recipe for her own breakfast at home (look out for the recipe).
Before hitting the beach, I grabbed a frozen coffee with sugar free caramel from Amavida and it was delicious. We also did some light shopping in the town square and picked up a couple of Rosemary Beach hats.
The weather was glorious! We laid out all day and headed in around 4 for cheese & champs while we got ready for Emily’s wedding.
Emily’s wedding was a blast! The food was delicious, the music was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. There will be a full post full of professional photos once she returns from Turkey and Greece (so jealous!).
We made one last stop to Amavida for coffee and shopped around the local farmers market on the square.
On the way home we stopped at Whataburger. Ellison, LC and I had never had it and Kathryn and Mallory believed it was a must try for all. It was delicious.
Our second stop of the day was at Momma Goldberg’s in Auburn. Doritos Nachos… need I say more?
Since returning, we’ve all gone on a food detox. We don’t want to add up how many calories we ate in such a short time.
I am so thankful for my wonderful friends! Have you and your girls been anywhere fun recently?
