December Supper Club: A Mug Exchange Extravaganza

Isn’t this mug awesome?

On Monday, we had our monthly supper club. This month was a special one because we were celebrating Ellison’s new job and move and also having a mug exchange. It was even more special because Ellison’s mom joined us, too (and the idea of us starting a supper club was her idea!).  While we are all sad to see Ellison go, we are so so so excited for her and her new job! We sent her on her way with a Lat & Lo necklace (Atlanta edition) that we picked up from Just The Thing.

Mug Exchange Extravaganza

The girls and I love mugs. This is very obvious after a couple of scrolls through our instagram. A few weeks ago I asked the girls if we could have a mug exchange during our December supper club and I had an overwhelming response of yeses.

The mug had to cost under $15, but finding a more expensive mug on sale was definitely ok! The mugs also needed to be wrapped and not identifiable from the packaging.

After eating dinner, we all piled on to the sectional and began the exchange. Each of our names were placed in a bowl. When your name was drawn you got to choose which package you wanted to open (you also had to open the package and show the mug to all) or steal a mug that had already been open.

Of course I had Cairn Terrier (ok Scottie…let’s pretend) wrapping paper

The Mugs

All of the mug choices were incredible! Santa, can I have them all?

Can I just say how thankful I am for this group of ladies? I can’t wait until we are all reunited in Maine for Mallory’s wedding (crossing my fingers it is before!).

The after mug exchange apple cider was delicious!

Let us know if you do your own mug exchange! We would love to hear all about it.

Have a wonderful Thursday!
