Inside LC’s Makeup Bag

I really try to keep my makeup routine very minimal. A. Because of time and B. I really don’t know how to properly apply makeup. I have a couple of other things in the drawer for special occasions, but these are my daily essentials.

First, let’s talk about my makeup bag. I got this Cuyana travel set for Christmas. The small one is great for throwing in your purse, and the large one always looks pretty on the counter.

I have really dark circles, and this Bobbi Brown concealer duo seems to do the trick for the most part. I am always up for suggestions though if you have the miracle fix! I have been using some sort of Bare Minerals foundation since high school. I’ve strayed temporarily a few times, but I always go back to old faithful. This is my favorite brush, although I have approximately 1 million since I keep buying the Bare Minerals kits.

As you can guess I’m pretty loyal to the Bare Escentuals brand. I also love the bronzer and the Flawless Definition mascara.  I was never a blush girl until I found this Sonia Kashuk cream blush (in melon).  I just apply with my fingers, that way you get a nice rosy glow without that 80s streak.  I don’t do eyeliner every day, but when I do I really love the Eyeko skinny liquid liner.  You get the look of liquid liner with the control of a pencil.  I got in my Birchbox a few years ago, and have been hooked ever since.  The mascara is great too.

Now for the finishing touches.  My all time favorite lipgloss is the Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie in Rebel.  It’s the perfect nude and it’s not too glossy or sticky.  The YSL Touche Eclat is a miracle worker.  It can be used in the place of undereye concealer or as a great highlighter.  I also like to spritz on a little of the Caudalie Beauty Elixir if I feel like my face looks especially tired.  It’s a good mid-day pick me up.

And that’s about it.  Are there any products you can’t live without?

How does the Sonia Kashuk blush set? Does it set to a powder form or is it still pretty tacky? I really would love to try it, I’m getting more and more into cream products.
